| Region Info: Rescue vests must be worn in the locks. For a houseboat trip on the Shannon-Erne-Waterway you need a SmartCard to operate the locks. These cards are available at the bases, approx. € 13/20 locks. | Check-out: Generally the boats have to be brought back clean. | Deposit / franchise: A deposit for the boat and the inventory has to be made on spot, furthermore there is a deposit of €230 - €550 for diesel, oil, gas. A damage waiver to reduce the deposit can be booked. The price depends on the type of the boat, between €22 and €48 per night (reduced deposit: €250-€750). The fuel deposit is obligatory.
