The number of fleet operating companies on the island is growing, now Bestsail is on site too. The realm of Fidel Castro is slowly opening up to capitalism and the liberalisation is making the Island more interesting to foreign charter companies. As the fourth fleet provider the German Company Bestsail is moving to Cuba with its Italian partner GPS-Yachts. In the marina Playa Ancon, near Trinidad there is therefore a new port. Up to then the journeys started in the further northwest based Cienfuegos at the local charter operators there. The site Trinidad combines many advantages: The City itself as a UNESCO-World-Heritage site is definitely worth the visit. Whoever starts sailing from there, can choose between two incredible areas which are the Canarreos Archipelago and Isla de la Juventud in the west as well as the Jardines de la Reina, the gardens of the queen in the southeast. Whatever the choice, sailing in original nature and less tourist-hype are guaranteed. The Bestsail-fleet is made up of Fontaine Pajot and Nautitech catamarans ranging from 40 - 44 feet.
