Crews which sail near silcily always have one aim: the vulcanoe islands around Lipardi, Stromboli and Vulcano. As a matter of fact there is an equally nice area around the northwest corner of Sicily: the Egadi islands around Marettimo, Favignana and Levanzo.
The partially on very rocky gorunds located places have very simple ports, but the flair is all the greater. In summer there are no tourist hords moving around the villages and the anchorage grounds are never overcrowded. The islands are still an insider tip amongst Italy-fans, also because the area is a little bit more challanging than the north parts.
