Yachtcharter Portugal A whole year sailing area

Portugal is characterized by a mild climate, blue skies, and an inviting green landscape that is covered with almond plants and orange trees. It is a country embedded in a coast that is steep in its beginning and which continuously lessens in altitude as you proceed eastward.

This coast is interrupted by white beaches and it reaches the spanish border at the little harbor town Vila Real de Santo Antonio near the river Guadiana.

These waters can be sailed the whole year long due to the favorable location of Algarve and the Bay of Cadiz.
The winds here come mainly from the north and the southwest. They possess a windforce that is rarely stronger than five. There are very low sand dunes up to St. Vincente. During the winter it is mostly sunny with about 15 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius during the summer. The air in the summer is of an especially pleasant quality. Because of its mild and steady climate these waters are perfect for a coastal trip with a family crew.
